With having one of the most recognizable and formidable singing voices in the Philippines, singer-songwriter BAMBOO MAÑALAC is like a well-oiled machine, all power and with no plans of slowing down just yet! With his famous vocals, which combines a rock style with mellow approach, he is notably has energetic style in his LIVE PERFORMANCE! Breaking into the music scene in the 90s, Mañalac was part of the band, Rivermaya that churned out hit after hit, among them “Hinahanap Hanap Kita” and “Awit ng Kabataan.” He took a break from the industry then formed the band Bamboo in the early 2000s. Among their original hits were “Hallelujah” and “Noypi.” Bamboo then went solo and released his first album titled “No Water, No Moon.” In 2013, Mañalac was chosen as one of the coaches for ABS-CBN’s singing competition, “The Voice of the Philippines.”

Singapore, 2 October 2019 —MTV today announced nominations for the “2019 MTV EMAs”, with frontrunner Ariana Grande securing seven nods. Grande’s nominations include “Best Artist”, “Best Video” for her viral hit “thank you, next”, as well as “Best Song” alongside Shawn Mendes and EMA nominee newcomers Lil Nas X and Billie Eilish, who all follow Grande with six nods each. Latin American sensation J Balvin follows closely with five nominations including “Best Artist”, and Lizzo and Taylor Swift join the above contenders for “Best U.S. Act”, scoring four nods each.

To tease this year’s nominees, MTV poured fans a “taste of Seville” with beautiful coffee art reveals. As a play on the traditional Spanish cortado, the nominees for “Best Artist”, “Best Video” and “Biggest Fans” were revealed via artistic foam cream visuals. The videos premiered across MTV’s global digital platforms and a coalition of media partners.

The “2019 MTV EMAs” will take place at the FIBES, Conference & Exhibition Centre of Seville, Spain, and broadcast live on MTV Asia on Monday, 4 November 2019, starting with the red carpet premiere at 2.00 AM (WIB), 3.00 AM (SG/MY/PH), and 4.00 AM (MY - Astro). This is followed by the main show at 3.00 AM (WIB), 4.00 AM (SG/MY/PH), and 5.00 AM (MY - Astro).

Catch the primetime encore telecast on the same day, 4 November, with the red carpet at 7.00 PM (WIB) and 8.00 PM (SG/MY/PH), and the main show at 7.50 PM (WIB) and 8.50 PM (SG/MY/PH).

In this region, Rich Brian (Indonesia), Yuna (Malaysia), Moira Dela Torre (Philippines), Jasmine Sokko (Singapore), Jannine Weigel (Thailand) and Suboi (Vietnam) have been nominated in the ‘Best Southeast Asia Act’ category.

Boyz II Men to return to Manila, Philippines on December 12, 2019

Four-time GRAMMY® Award-winning group Boyz II Men is heading back to Asia and performing in Manila, returning from a U.S. tour and residency in Las Vegas at The Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The group, consisting of founding members, Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman and Wanya Morris, will bring a lively show, including fan-favorite songs like, I’ll Make Love to You, Motownphilly, End of the Road and more, along with new show elements on stage.

K-pop group SEVENTEEN announces ‘Ode to You’ world tour in North America

South Korean boy band SEVENTEEN will return to North America for its “Ode to You” world tour.  Produced by Live Nation, the exclusive eight-city North American run will kick off on January 10, 2020 in New Jersey, United States with stops in the U.S. including namely Chicago, Illinois; Dallas, Texas; Houston, Texas; Los Angeles, California and San Jose, California.

The “Ode to You” world tour will also go to Mexico City, Mexico. It will end on January 23, 2020 in Seattle, Washington, USA.

Venues for the North American dates will be announced soon. To ensure tickets get in to the hands of fans, the tour has partnered with Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan platform.

Also called SVT, SEVENTEEN is a 13-member group that consists of three units namely hip-hop, vocal and performance. The hip-hop unit includes Wonwoo (원우), Mingyu (민규), Vernon (버논) and the leader S.Coups (에스쿱스).

Lead by Woozi (우지), the vocal unit includes Jeonghan (정한), Joshua (조슈아), DK or Dokyeom (도겸) and Seungkwan (승관). The performance unit members are Jun (준), The8 (디에잇), Dino (디노) and Hoshi (호시) as the leader.

The three different units each exhibit their own distinct charm and color. But when they all come together to perform as one group, the synergy multiplies, instantly captivating fans throughout the world.

Along with its debut in 2015 with its first mini album "<17 CARAT>," SEVENTEEN gained much attention from the public and was soon identified as super rookies. As the members began participating in the production of their own music, they grew to be known as self-producing idols.

On September 16, 2019, Pledis Entertainment released its SEVENTEEN's third studio album titled "An Ode," which became the groups best-selling album to date.  The "Ode to You" world tour kicked off with three sold out shows at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu,  Seoul, South Korea.

The 2020 North American dates are the first in the market since SEVENTEEN's first world tour "Diamond Edge" in 2017. Now four years old, the K-pop group earned a number 1 single on Billboard’s K-Pop 100 Chart and four top 10 hits.
