The Moffatts are back with 'Secrets'

PRESS RELEASE

The Moffatts (Facebook/The Moffatts)

Calgary, Alberta - On January 10, 2018, the Moffatts released the first single from its new six-song EP of the same name "Secrets." The EP will follow in the footsteps of the Canadian boy band's previous records, featuring powerful harmonies, infectious rhythmic melodies and great guitar licks.

Distributed by Bec Tero Music, a Sony Music affiliate out of Bangkok, Thailand, the "Secrets" EP was recorded and produced by the Moffatts. All of the songs were written by the brothers.

The Moffatts consist of four brothers. They are Bob Moffatt on drums, programming, and vocals, Clint Moffatt on bass, acoustic guitar and vocals, Dave Moffatt on keyboards and vocals and Scott Moffatt on rhythm guitar, lead guitar, programming and vocals.

In the late 1990s, the Moffatts was EMI Music's number one international priority. The brothers toured the world extensively, sold more than 7 million albums, and were presented with gold and platinum records in 32 countries.

The last album of the Moffatts titled “Submodalities” featured the number 1 hit “Bang Bang Boom.” At the time, it was the fastest number 1 single in Canadian music history.

In 1994, the Moffatts signed their first record deal and became the youngest band to ever sign a major label, recording contract at the time. Their label mates were country music stars Shania Twain and Toby Keith.

In 1997, the Moffatts changed genre and signed a new deal with EMI Electrola out of Cologne, Germany. While they were not performing as a band from 2000 to 2018, it did not mean that they had hung up their instruments.

Scott was the producer that launched Slot Machine, Thailand's most successful international pop-rock band, and won producer of the year. Currently, Scott produces country music superstar Luke Combs.

Collectively known as Same Same, Bob and Clint released a number of projects under various names. In 2006, the duo featured the biggest selling international album of the year throughout Southeast Asia with the number 1 hit “Love Isn't.”

Bob and Clint eventually changed their name to Like Strangers and in 2014, they had a top 20 hit with “Goodbye Baby.” In 2016, they changed their name to Endless Summer and their hit “Amen for Women” reached number 1 on Spotify Canada charts.

When the Moffatts disbanded, Dave chose a completely new direction, pursuing the spiritual path of yoga. In mid-2017, he chose to return to the world of music, and joined his brothers to record a new record, and write songs within Nashville's prestigious A circle.

The Moffatts will begin touring in late April 2018. Watch the lyric video of their new song "Secrets" here:
